In order to apply for PhD in genetics , candidate must have completed masters degree in relevant subject or equivalent discipline with atleast 60% marks from a recognised board.
Admission is granted on the basis of merit as well as entrance exam followed by group discussion. Those who have completed masters in genetics can apply for PhD admission. The duration of course is 2 to 5 yrs. The average annual fee charged ranges between INR 10,000 - 2,00,000 |

Is BHMS course having eligibility for doing PhD in genetics?
Being a BHMS course candidate you're eligible to apply for M.sc in microbiology and genetics course. Any candidate who completed B.sc course or studied Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, etc are eligible to apply for M.sc in microbiology and genetics course. The duration of the course is 2 to 5 years. |

For PhD in Genetics ,you must have a post graduate degree or MPhil in Science with minimum 50%marks from a recogniszed university.
Duration of PhD in Genetics is 2 to 5 years. |

The educational qualification required is a candidate must have passed a Master's degree or MPhil in Science or any relevant field with a minimum score of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Admission selection will be done on the basis of performance in the entrance test which is conducted by the university.
