Hello, I am doing PhD in English from a distance university at Haryana. I have taken admission this year without NET or any entrance exam. But now I want stipend for my PhD. So, can I give UGC NET for getting stipend? Is this possible for me?

No, You can't apply in UGC-NET to get stipend if studying distance PhD(English).

Only those candidate who are pursuing full-time PhD programs are eligible to get stipend.

If you are pursuing PhD through distance learning mode than you are not eligible to get stipend.

If you want to get stipend you have to take admission as regular student.
