Hi friends, I have completed my MA in English Literature. I have secured 47% marks in my MA. So, with this percentage of marks, I can study PhD in English or not? I am interested to do PhD. So, please let me know about this.

No, you cannot do PhD in English with 47% in MA(English literature). For doing PhD you have to complete your post graduation with meaning of 55% marks. 5% relaxation of marks is given to reserved categories.

In order to pursue doctor of philosophy in English , the candidate must have a post graduate degree in a relevant discipline with minimum of 55% marks for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PH candidates or equivalent grade from a university or a recognised institute.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
