I have completed my M.A. in Tamil and now I am interested in doing PhD in Madurai Kamaraj University by means of Distance Education. So please give me the details for the above mentioned degree.

The Madurai Kamaraj University has PhD programme in Full Time and Part Time mode only. There is no distance PhD course available in Madurai Kamaraj University. You can find the details in the MKU PhD regulations PDF.

The eligibility to do PhD is a Master’s Degree in Tamil with over 50% marks from a recognized university. You have to appear for an entrance examination and interview for the admission. You may also contact the university Tamil Department for more details regarding the same. Please, find the attachment below;

Sorry it is not possible for you to do PhD course through distance mode in Madurai Kamaraj University. However, you can do PhD course in Kamaraj University through Full Time or Part Time mode.

Eligibility Criteria:

- The candidate must complete Post Graduate course in Tamil or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university or college. Final year candidates are also eligible.

- The candidate need to score at least 55% of marks at Post Graduate level.
