The offline payment procedure for IISC PhD entrance exam fee is as follows:

1. Go to the official website of IISC and download the Challan form.

2. Fill in the required details such as name, application number, date of birth, etc., in the Challan form.

3. Take a printout of the Challan form.

4. Visit any State Bank of India (SBI) branch and pay the application fee in cash using the Challan form.

5. The application fee for General/OBC category candidates is Rs. 800/- and for SC/ST/PwD category candidates, it is Rs. 400/-.

6. After payment, the bank will provide you with a transaction ID.

7. Keep the transaction ID safe as it will be required during the application process.

8. If you wish to pay through Demand Draft (DD), then make a DD of the required amount in favour of "Registrar, Indian Institute of Science" payable at Bangalore.

9. Write your name, application number, and contact details on the back of the DD.

10. Send the DD to the following address:

The Deputy Registrar (Academic)
Indian Institute of Science
Bangalore 560 012

11. It is recommended to send the DD through registered post or courier to ensure safe delivery.

Note: It is important to ensure that the payment is made within the specified deadline mentioned in the information brochure. Also, keep a copy of the Challan or DD receipt for future reference.

The offline payment method for IISC PhD entrance exam fee can be done through either Demand Draft (DD) or Challan.

If you choose to pay through DD, make sure that it is drawn in favor of "The Registrar, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore" and payable at Bangalore.

If you choose to pay through Challan, you need to download the challan from the official website of IISC and take a printout of it. The challan will have two parts: one for the bank and the other for the candidate. You need to visit any SBI branch and deposit the fee in cash along with the challan. After the payment, the bank will stamp and return the candidate's copy of the challan as a proof of payment.

It is advised to keep a copy of the DD or the stamped challan for future reference.

Note: The exact amount to be paid and the last date for payment will be mentioned in the information brochure or the official website of IISC.
