Eligibility to get admission in IIT-Madras for PhD(Civil Engineering) program through GATE? Cutoff score required in GATE?


Can you please let me know about the eligibility criteria for getting admission in IIT-Madras for PhD program in Civil Engineering? Can I get admission through GATE? If yes, then how much cutoff scorecard is required?

The eligibility criteria to apply for Ph.D in IIT-Madras is as follows:

* Candidate must have passed Masters degree in the relevant field with good academic record and must have valid GATE score. (OR)

* Candidate must have passed B.Tech from Centrally funded technically institute with minimum CGPA of 8.0 r through valid GATE score. (OR)

* Candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering/Technology with 8 CGPA or equivalent from any other University and having a valid GATE score.

The cut off score varies every year and we cannot say the exact cut off. As the cut off marks is decided by the admission branch of IIT-Madras.
