Sir, i simply clear all papers of net And doing job as a contractual lecturer(sociology) in gov college. But i want to do phd or mphill from ignou . Am i eligible for taking admission, i had also completed m.a with 55%marks from ignou me sir what i do?

Eligibility for PhD or MPhil from IGNOU:-

(i) Candidates must have done their post-graduation in the relevant discipline.
(ii) Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% in their post-graduation. There is a relaxation of 5% marks for reserved candidates (SC/ST/OBC).
(iii) Candidates who have completed their MPhil (along with course work) or have cleared NET or any other equivalent exam will be exempted from appearing form the IGNOU entrance exam.

For being eligible for M.phil , candidate must have completed masters degree with 55% marks from a recognised institution .
5% relaxation for reserved category or disabled ones.

Selection is based on entrance exam
Entrance exam 70%
Interview 30%
Those who secure 50% marks in entrance exam will be shortlisted.

For PhD also masters degree in relevant discipline is required with atleast 55% or more.

Those who have completed M.phil or NET are exempted from entrance exam.
Admission is granted on the basis of merit/entrance.
