Respected Sir, I just want to know that if I am going to take admission in Dr. BR Ambedkar University for PhD(Biotechnology) then what is the eligibility criteria for admission? Kindly let me know about the eligibility asap.

You need a masters degree in biotechnology or related subject with 55% marks from a recognized university. This is the minimum requirement for Ph.D admission.

Admission is through entrance exam and interview conducted by the concerned university. Just make sure you have got excellent academic record.

Candidate must possess post graduate degree from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 55% of marks and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates).
Candidate must have to qualify entrance examination conducted by this university with 40% marks and 5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST category candidates.
Candidate must have to qualify Dr. BRAURESET or in GATE / CSIR / UGC-NET / SLET / Other Equivalent National Level Examination.

Eligibility criteria to study PhD(Biotechnology) in Dr. BR Ambedkar University are mentioned below:-
Post-graduation in Biology/Biotechnology from a recognized institute.
Or,
M.Sc in disciplines consistent with the research areas of the department.
M.Tech or equivalent degree in Biotechnology or other interdisciplinary areas.
A minimum aggregate score of 55% at the level of post-graduation.

Eligibility criteria required to pursue PhD(Biotechnology) are as follows:-

A Master’s degree is required to gain admission to a doctoral program.

Candidate must have scored at least 55% aggregate in post-graduation.

Candidate must have passed post-graduation or equivalent from a recognized university with at least 55% aggregate.

Duration- 3 to 5 years

PhD in biotechnology is 3 to 5 year doctoral course.
Minimum eligibility required to pursue PhD in biotechnology is the successful completion of post graduation in biotechnology, completed from a recognised University.
Admission to the course is based on the round of counselling conducted by various PhD biotechnology colleges after the candidates qualification of relevant entrance test.
