I am interested to do PhD program in Delhi University in the specialization of English. So, I would like to know about the eligibility criteria for doing this PhD program in this university. Please tell me asap.

University of Delhi invites applications from eligible candidates for PhD(English) Program twice a year for academic and calendar year. To be eligible for PhD(English), you must hold a Masters or an M.Phil. degree from any recognized university. You must have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the M.Phil. Degree or at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the Master degree.

Admission will be on the basis of Common Entrance Test followed by interview.

Eligibility to study PhD (English) in Delhi University are as follows:-
Candidate must have completed their Master's degree in relevant stream from a recoginsed university.
Candidate must have scored at least 55% aggregate in Master's degree.
Candidate must have to appear for entrance examination conducted by the university itself.

Eligibility :--

Candidate must have completed a Master’s Degree (M.A.) from a recognized university.

The candidate must have scored at least 55% marks in M.A. course pursued by him/her.

Candidate Relaxations are available to SC, ST and Physically handicapped students in this regard.

Additional qualifications like M.Phil. or being UGC NET/JRF qualified are considered beneficial while admission and such students do get some advantages over students who do not have such qualifications.
