Dear friends, please help me to know about the eligibility criteria through which I can study PhD in Mass Communication program in The University of Burdwan? I am interested to do PhD in this stream in this college. Please help me to know about this asap. Thank you!

The eligibility to study PhD in Mass Communication at The University of Burdwan is a candidate must have passed a Master's degree in the relevant subject with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate for general category and for SC/ST candidates it is 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. There is no age limit to apply for this course and admission selection will be on the basis of performance in the entrance test followed by an interview which is conducted by the university.

One must have qualified NET JRF so that one can directly apply for interview.
Exemption to entrance is subject to college policy, as some universities conduct their own entrance inspite of NET JRF.

Eligibility:-

PhD in journalism and mass communication is a research degree course where the course duration can range anything between 3 to 6 years depending upon the area of research.

The candidates should have a masters degree in journalism and mass communication with an aggregate of 55% to become eligible and some colleges may require candidates to write entrance examinations.

For admission to the course with the entrance exams some candidates might be called for personal interviews or group discussion.
