Hello everyone, I want to do PhD(Philosophy) from Gauhati University. Can I know about the eligibility criteria for getting admission in this course in this university? Please tell me asap. Waiting for your response!

The required eligibility to study Ph.D. (Philosophy) in Gauhati University is the candidate should have passed master degree in the respective stream from a recognized university. The minimum percentage required in the master degree to get admission in Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy is 60%.In order to get a Ph.D. (Philosophy) admission at Gauhati University, you should score good marks in the entrance examination. The duration of this course is three years.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree in Philosophy with above 55% marks from a recognized University are eligible for Ph.D course in Philosophy in Gauhati University.

For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

UGC NET score card is essential to get admission in Ph.D course.

There are no age criteria.
