Hello everyone, I want to do PhD(Statistics) from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. Can I know about the eligibility criteria for getting admission in this course in this university? Please tell me asap. Waiting for your response!

Eligibility to study PhD(Statistics) in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University:-

Those candidate who have completed Masters degree in Statistics with above 55% marks from a recognised University are eligible for PhD course in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in Statistics.
For SC/ ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There is no age criteria.

But you must have a valid UGC NET score card.

Course duration of PhD:-

Total - 5 years ( Minimum )

First Year - Course Work

Two to Four years - Project Work.

The eligibility to study PhD in Statistics at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University is a candidate must have passed a post-graduation in the relevant field from a recognized university. There is no specific age limit to apply for this course and the final selection will be done as per the marks scored in the entrance examination which is conducted by the university.

The eligibility to study PhD Statistics at Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University is, candidates must have a post graduate degree or Mphil with minimum 60%marks.

The duration of this course is 3 years

Candidates also have to appear in the entrance exam called NET, SET and GATE.

This is a full time course.

Admission to PhD programme is based on student marks obtained in entrance exam conducted by respective department or school of particular university.

Those who have appeared for any of exams like
NET
GATE
SET
M.phil
JRF will be exempted from entrance exam.
While giving exemption , the department committee may consider research work/earlier PhD/ experience done by the student.
Of a student already holds doctors degree in relevant subject from UGC approved institute , he/she may be exempted from entrance exam.

After clearing both steps , the student will be eligible to pay course fee.

Eligibility:-

1- The applicant must have completed M.Sc./MA in Mathematics or Statistics from any recognized University or Institution in a relevant subject with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade.

2- For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC / Differently-Abled and such other categories, 5% relaxation in marks will be given in accordance with the decision of the UGC & Govt. of India will be accorded.

3- However, an applicant with CSIR-UGC/JRF/NET/SLET cleared in the relevant subject is exempted from the Entrance Test.

The candidate should have passed a masters with a minimum of 55% marks in same field from any university. Candidates of reserved category will get 5% relaxation in percentage. Admission to this university shall be based on the students marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the University.

1. Ph.D. (Statistics) is a three-year duration doctoral-level course. The doctoral program is designed to provide to eligible candidates a wide base of advanced learning in Theoretical Statistics, Applied Statistics, Probability, and such areas of study.
