Dear sir, I am Sharad Sirvastava from Ujjain, have completed M.Sc in Statistics and working as a Biostatistician and SAS programmer in Clinical research for three year. Please tell how to do research in Statics?

Procedure to do research in Statistics being M.Sc in Statistics is,

You must have completed MSc. equivalent course to be eligible to secure Research position through GATE examination.

You can also go either through GATE examination or through UGC NET JRF examination.

You must have completed minimum qualification of master degree or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 55% to secure JRF.

Your age should be less than 28 years to secure JRF.

Your final selection will be done through personal interview.

You can do P.hD in Statistics to do research after M.S.c in Statistics. You can get admission for P.h.D course through the entrance test of that college. Or, you can qualify the UGC-NET test to get admission in this course. The duration of this course is 3-5 years in India.

To pursue MSc in Statistics., the candidate must have a BSc degree in Statistics or Mathematics or any equivalent degree in Statistics with Computer Applications. Certain universities would also have a cutoff percentage for students to be eligible to apply.
