Yes,Medical Degree holders are eligible to appear for J.R.F(Junior Research Fellowship)posts. For getting admission for the post of JEF you need to an entrance examination. This Entrance exam is called N.E.T(National Eligibility Test) conducted by the CSIR(Council of Scientific and Industrial Research). For this to be eligible, generally Masters Degree from a recognized university is eligible.

So for getting in to JRF the masters degrees such as Master of Laws,Master of Education,Master of commerce,Master of Business Administration,Master of law of laws, and Master of Medicine(MD) and more are eligible. So as you are from the Medicine field, you must firsts need to complete your Master of Medicine course.

Then of course undoubtedly you are eligible for writing NET(National Eligibility Test) examination.
You must have secured a minimum of 55% in your Masters degree or else in the equivalent examination. You must have completed your degree from the Universities/Institutions recognized by the UGC Social science, computer science,Applications,Humanities,Electronics science.

The minimum age limit for apply for the post of JRF,must not more than 28 years as on 1st June of the year.Of course there will be an age relaxation for the reserved candidates. This will be applicable for the SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH candidates and also women candidates.

The minimum age for applying this JRF post is 19 years. The final year candidates appearing their masters degree are also eligible for the NET examination. And the candidate has to submit their Documents during their Interview. So if you have done M.D(Master of Medicine) you can absolutely apply for this examination.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
