I am doing m.sc. from maharishi markandeshwer university solan. i want to do phd. give me guidance about that. the phd from a deemed university is valid or not?

If deemed University is recognized by UGC then you can surely take admission without any worries. Just make sure that the college provide good support to the Ph.D scholars before taking admission. You should contact previous Ph.D students and ask them about the college before admission.

It can be expensive if you take admission in a private University. In some cases, you might not even get the fellowship which you can get in top institutes. If you have got NET/SLET/GATE/JRF scores then you have very good chance of getting fellowships during your Ph.D research work.

Deemed university means nothing but autonomous institution. A university which receives status of autonomy from Department of Higher Education is said to be Deemed university. These universities have full right to decide and take decision on the courses, syllabus and fees, which are offered by them. And any course from deemed university is valid. So, you can pursue Ph.D course from any Deemed university.
