The eligibility criteria for a Ph.D. in Commerce may vary depending on the university or institution offering the program.

However, I can provide you with some general information on the typical eligibility requirements for a Ph.D. in Commerce.

1. Academic Qualifications: You generally need to have a master's degree in Commerce or a related field from a recognized university.

2. Minimum Marks: Most universities require a minimum percentage or grade point average (GPA) in your postgraduate degree. The required minimum marks can vary, but typically a minimum of 55% to 60% or equivalent is expected. Some universities may have a higher minimum percentage requirement.

3. Entrance Examination: Many universities conduct an entrance examination for admission to their Ph.D. programs. The exam may assess your subject knowledge, research aptitude, and analytical skills. Qualifying this exam is often a prerequisite for admission.

5. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates may be called for a personal interview or an interaction with a selection committee.
This interview helps evaluate your research potential, clarity of thought, and suitability for the program.

6. Work Experience: Some universities may prefer or require candidates to have work experience in the field of Commerce or related areas. This requirement can vary, and some universities may consider candidates without work experience.
