Eligibility to get PhD(Physics) admission in Hyderabad University:-

If you have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized University then you are eligible for Ph.D course.

There are no age criteria.

Entrance exams for admission in various colleges are UGC NET or GATE or CSIR NET.

The requirements to study PhD in Physics at Hyderabad University is a candidate must have passed Master's degree in the relevant subject with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate for general category and for SC/ST it is 50% marks in aggregate. Admission selection will be done on the basis of written test which is conducted by the university followed by an interview.

Final admission will be based on the Research Proposal at the time of application, academic record, fellowship (NET/SET/DBT/JRF), publications and research experience in the relevant field. The candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR/NBHM/JRF/ICMR/ICAR/DBT are exempted from the written test and selection will be based on the interview only.
