Should I have to appear in any entrance exam to study PhD(Geography) in IGNOU?
I am studying MPhil(Geography). After my MPhil I am interested to do research on Geography. For this I want to study PhD. I have heard that in IGNOU, PhD Geography is taught. I want admission there. So I have to give any entrance exam for admission?

Yes,you have to appear in the entrance exam ,the entrance exam held as per the university calendar every year (Depending on Vacant Seats).
The admission procedure is:- Candidates who have done post graduate degree in a relevant field with minimum 50%marks from a recognized university can study PhD Geography |

The entrance exam called NET.
Duration of PhD Geography is 3 to 5 years. Those candidates who have completed their masters degree in same discipline from a recognized university. |
