Yes, there is relaxation for OBC candidates in marks for admission to PhD. Eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer) categories of candidates.

Candidates belonging to other backward classes (OBC) falling within non-creamy layer categories will get a relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks in direct recruitment to teaching positions in universities and colleges. They will also get a relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks in admissions to M Phil and PhD programmes.
