Is there any problem to become a university Professor for MSc(Botany) who wants to study PhD(Biotechnology)?

Hi team, I am studying MSc with Botany course. However, I am looking forward to do PhD in Biotechnology course. So, if I do PhD in Biotechnology then I will face any problem to become a Professor in any university?
