Candidates those who have completed Masters in Physics with a minimum of 55% marks from any recognized university, are eligible to do PhD in the relevant discipline. Eligible candidates have to appear and qualify in the UGC NET/CSIR entrance exam, in order to get admission for PhD course.

Yes, there are several colleges that are offering this M.Sc-PhD Dual program in Physics. One of the best of such colleges is IIM Bombay.

IIT Bombay, offers this M.Sc and PhD Dual Degree program and the duration of this course is 6 years. Upon successful completion of concerned course, you will be awarded with 2 degrees.

Admission into this course is basically on the basis of JAM Entrance Examination.
