Eligibility criteria for in-service PhD Through merit or service or entrance exam
How will get seat in Ph.D? Can you please give me the right details on the same? What would be the criteria to apply for the sociology course? Awaiting for the response.

Eligibility criteria for doing PhD in Sociology:-

To be eligible for pursuing PhD in Sociology, students should be at least graduate, provided that their degrees are valid, with considerable knowledge on the concerned subject, candidates having completed their post graduation are also eligible to enroll for this course.

To pursue PhD, a candidate needs a minimum of 55% marks in Master's degree for general candidate and for a candidate who is other than general like OBC/SC/ST minimum marks required is 50% in the concerned subjects. To pursue Ph.D. you have to appear and pass in the CSIR-UGC NET entrance exam. You can take admission directly also by cracking the interview round conducted by the University.

The eligibility criteria for PhD in Sociology will be a pass in Master’s Degree (10+2+3 pattern) in sociology with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. The admission to the PhD program shall be made through an Entrance Examination, Personal Interview and Academic Record. Eligibility criteria to do Ph.D in Sociology:-

Candidates must have completed Master's degree in Sociology from a recognised University.
Candidates must have scored a minimum 55% of marks in Master's degree.

If you have completed masters degree in Sociology with above 55% marks from a recognized University then you are eligible for Ph.D course in Sociology.

To get admission in Ph.D course, you should qualify in UGC NET entrance exam.
