What is the eligbility criteria followed for doing Ph.D in Sociology?
Eligibility criteria for in-service PhD Through merit or service or entrance exam
How will get seat in Ph.D? Can you please give me the right details on the same? What would be the criteria to apply for the sociology course? Awaiting for the response. |

Eligibility criteria for doing PhD in Sociology:-
To be eligible for pursuing PhD in Sociology, students should be at least graduate, provided that their degrees are valid, with considerable knowledge on the concerned subject, candidates having completed their post graduation are also eligible to enroll for this course. |

To pursue PhD, a candidate needs a minimum of 55% marks in Master's degree for general candidate and for a candidate who is other than general like OBC/SC/ST minimum marks required is 50% in the concerned subjects. To pursue Ph.D. you have to appear and pass in the CSIR-UGC NET entrance exam. You can take admission directly also by cracking the interview round conducted by the University.

Below I have mentioned the required eligibility criteria for doing Ph.D in Sociology, have a look over it.
Eligibility criteria to do Ph.D in Sociology:- Candidates must have completed Master's degree in Sociology from a recognised University. Candidates must have scored a minimum 55% of marks in Master's degree. Candidates must have qualified in the UGC-NET examination. |
