The following are just a few of the main areas where OR are employed:- Goverment Operational Research Service Defence Financial Services Health Manufacturing Industry Management Consultancies Oil Retail Transport and Travel Marketing Universities and Research Institutions Interview Questions for Operational Research:- 1 - Can you describe some of the models you have created and implemented 2 - What methods do you find work best when gathering data and information on a potential problem. 3 - How would you react if management rejected your models or solutions for a potential problem. 4 - What methods do you use to organize large amounts of complex data. 5 - What is the least effective model you have created and how would you improve it. |

Operations Research aims to reduce “muddy” business problems into well-defined mathematical constructs, while also defining expected behaviour and goals (well rooted in computer science and analytics).
I am giving you some common interview questions below:- Can you describe some of the models you have created and implemented? What methods do you find work best when gathering data and information on a potential problem? How would you react if management rejected your models or solutions for a potential problem? |

Its purpose is to give administration, a basis for predicting quantitatively the most effective results of an operation under given set of variable conditions and thereby to provide a sound basis for “decision-making”. Thus, Operation Research offers alternative plans for a problem to the management for decisions.
