Whether a B.Tech candidate is eligible to apply for PhD course?


Sir/Mam,

Can you tell me that who is the completed
B.Tech can also apply for PhD programme?
Please let me know about this. What is the minimum criteria they will look for?

No, B.Tech students are not eligible for Ph.D course.

If you have completed masters degree from a recognized university, then you are eligible for Ph.D course. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There are no age criteria.

No, B.Tech candidate is not eligible to apply for PhD course.you need a master degree to do PhD course.

Eligibility criteria for PhD:::::::::::::}

->The candidate should have done master’s degree in relevant stream with at least 55% marks from recognized university.

->The admission will be on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the university.

->The candidates qualifying UGC/CSRI/JRF/SLET/GATE are also eligible to apply.

No, you are not eligible to apply for Ph.D course just after completion of your bachelor's degree. Ph.D is a doctorate degree and you can apply for this degree only after completion of your master's degree. Also you must have to score at least 60% marks in your master's degree from any well affiliated university/institute to apply for doctorate degree.
