For a score range of 500 to 600 in GATE , there are good chances of securing admission into top NITs.
The minimum cutoff of GATE stands at 350-400
Thus a score range of 500-600 is considered as a good performance in the GATE exam.

For GATE rank above 3000 , it's difficult to get into any NIT colleges
