IS Msc IT distacne learning equivalent to regular MSC IT.
I am doing MSc IT from Sikkim Manipal University Distance Education.

As you are asking difference between distance M.Sc IT and Regular M.Sc IT.So first check yourself,that the University is that is received Distance M.Sc IT is Open University or not.If you have received Distance M.Sc post graduation degree from Open University then it is not equivalent to M.Sc Regular degree.If you have obtained distance M.Sc from not open University it is not equivalent to the M.Sc Regular Degree.

Generally if it is not an Open University,the syllabus,the conduct of Practicals,Pattern of the examination and every thing is same.So in this context surely M.Sc Distance degree and M.Sc Regular course is Of course same.In the regular M.Sc generally as per the schedule the academics planning goes well in a systematic way.

But if you go to the M.Sc Distance degree,you may find some difficulties,because you yourself have to prepare for the examination,even there will be no systematic way to prepare for the examination.
To go for the Distance education courses you will need to write entrance examinations such as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering,as well as National Eligibility Test(NET).M.Sc from Manipal University basically helps the candidates to acquire the skills and helps to build the future and career capabilities that required for a candidate.You may learn various integrated set of skills ultimately you can develop your professional career in a bright way.So there is no difference between Distance M.Sc and Regualr M.Sc if the Distance M.Sc is obtained from not an Open University.
