Eligibility criteria for IIT JAM(MCA)
I am doing a course in BCA at anna university (distance learning). I have a one year gap after +2. Am i eligible for iit-jam(MCA).

Eligibility:-
The candidates should have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university. The minimum marks should be 55% in aggregate for the General/OBC Category and for the reserved category SC/ST Candidate the marks should be at least 50% in aggregate. |

IIT JAM is not conducted for admission in MCA course.
IITs does not offer MCA course. So, if you want to pursue MCA course can apply for the NIMCET to get admission in NITs or can apply for admission in JNU, BHU etc. |

The first thing I would like to let you know is that IIT JAM is not held for offering admission in MCA (Master of Computer Application) degree course and therefore you cannot seek admission in MCA degree course through IIT JAM.
Further, I would like to let you know that IIT JAM is held for admission in a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in the following disciplines only: * Physics. * Mathematics. * Biotechnology. * Geology. * Economics. * Mathematical Statistics. * Geology. The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM(MCA):-
You must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from a recognised University. You must have passed the qualifying degree examination in the same year of appearing for the IIT JAM exam or in the previous year. You must be a citizen of India. You must have taken Mathematics as a subject for at least one year for annual system candidates/ at least two papers of Mathematics for semester system candidates. The IIT JAM(MCA) exam is a single paper exam that tests your knowledge of Mathematics, Computer Awareness, and Analytical Ability and General Awareness. The exam is divided into three sections: Mathematics (60%) Computer Awareness (30%) Analytical Ability and General Awareness (10%). |

The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM(MCA):-
Educational Qualification:- Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized university with at least 55% marks. Age Limit:- There is no upper age limit for IIT JAM. However, the upper age limit for reserved categories is 40 years. Nationality:- Candidates must be a citizen of India. Language Proficiency:- Candidates must have a working knowledge of English. Candidates who are appearing for their Bachelor's degree final examination are also eligible to appear for IIT JAM. The IIT JAM(MCA) exam is conducted once a year, in January. The application process for IIT JAM(MCA) is usually conducted online. The candidate must submit the application form along with the required documents, such as the Bachelor's degree certificate, the mark sheets, and the proof of identity and address. The results of IIT JAM(MCA) are usually announced within two months of the exam. The candidates who qualify for IIT JAM(MCA) are eligible to get admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programs at IITs. |

The very first thing I would like to let you know that through IIT-JAM, you can not get admission in the MCA (Master of Computer Application) degree course as IIT JAM is held for offering admission to Master of Science degree in the discipline listed below or any specializations related to the discipline listed below:
* Mathematics. * Mathematical Statistics. * Physics. * Chemistry. * Geology. * Biotechnology. * Economics. Further, you can pursue an MCA degree course from any recognized university having completed BCA degree from Anna University in Distance learning if your university is approved for offering BCA degree course in distance mode of education irrespective of gap after your Class 12th.
