Is M.Sc. (Ag) equivalent to M.Sc. (Basic Sciences)?

Respected Sir/ Mam,

I have done B.sc (Hons.) AG. from RAU, Bikaner (Rajasthan) & M.Sc (Microbiology) from CCSHAU, Hisar (Haryana). I want to know if M.Sc. Ag is equivalent to M.Sc. in Basic Science?

Please Reply.

The two degrees you mentioned are different from each other and they can't be equivalent to each other. One is a specialisation in agriculture field and other is just a basic science degree. A basic science degree will not help you get a specialised agricultural job. In the same way you can get a job of basic science teacher if you are an agricultural graduate.

Hence, both are not equivalent and you have to apply got job according to the eligibility criteria.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
