I have completed PGDM im Marketing & HR and interested to join merchant navy. What is the procedure.???

Procedure to join Merchant Navy after MBA/PGDM:-

To pursue a career in Merchant Navy after MBA/PGDM, you must have a graduate degree either in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture to be eligible for GME.

The required graduate degree for this course involves, Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Telecommunication with the minimum age of 35 years.

In order to join Merchant Navy , candidate must have completed class 12 th with PCM from a recognised board.

Those who have done 12th with PCM and age less than 23 years can undertake a press training course for Trainee Navigation Cadet Officer.

One can also take the course membership/fellowship offered by Institute of ship brokers and break into the commercial side of shipping and logistics industry.
This career is as promising as a sailing person , however one should be ready for stiff competition again.

You can't get into the Merchant Navy after completing an MBA in marketing.

Graduates in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics can get in as a deck cadet/apprentice up to an age of 23.

There are strict age and medical fitness rules that apply in India.

There are very few people in this world with a marketing MBA so pursue a career there.
