What should I do for getting selected in a core company?


Hi I'm balaji from chennai. I'm doing my first year mechanical engineering. I would like to know that what should I do for being selected in core company. What are the courses or inplant training to be undergone by me. Get me some advise to get selected in a core company. And also tell me how to spent this four years useful.

Core companies focus on the basics of 4 year education.
They do not expect freshers to be a research guy or something else.

Some of the skills that are required to get job are
Knowledge of the core subject
Application of the knowledge
Passion for learning and acquaintance with completed and IT
One should join best training institute that helps you to acquire these skills.

If one is passionate about persuing higher studies , make sure that one focuses on entrance exam and not on placement.

If you have Some work Experience on your Resume than it will surely helps you to get a good core company. Extraa Curricular Activities will also helps you. References will always helps you in shortlisting for the Job.
