This question paper contains total marks of 70. Sometimes there can be ten 7 marks questions all of which are compulsory. There can also be three sections in the paper, each section with their own internal sub-divisions. Questions may range from direct ones to fill in the blanks, true or false, matching options in columns to short notes and multiple choice questions. Some of the specimen questions can be as follows: meaning of “creating space illusion”, how mixing of pigments differ with that of coloured light, how “rhythm” differs with “simple repetition”, effect of “hue contrast” and “intensity contrast”, discussion of the physiological-psychological basis for colour relationships; some specimen short notes like those on form follows function, design, constancy phenomenon, etc. There can be fill in the blanks questions from various portions of Design Fundamentals and for this students have to know the entire topics of their syllabus. The paper is quite scoring and preparation in proper direction can fetch you good marks.
