Ch BP Govt. Engineering College B.Tech 1st Sem- Communication are designed to test a student’s communication skill by posing questions from different topics in this field. Questions can be asked from topics like the correction of simple grammatical mistakes in sentences given, use of idioms in certain sentences of one’s own construction, punctuation of sentences, and so on. This forms the grammar section of the question paper which is fairly high scoring, requiring as it does, a student’s understanding of basic grammar and application. This grammar section is based on a passage which has to be comprehended by the student. The comprehension section of the paper consists of short answer questions from the passage itself which will test the student’s understanding of the nuances of the piece given. Other questions include ‘do as directed’ section which provides instructions according to which the rules of grammar have to be applied by the student, providing of synonyms and antonyms for certain words and using other words correctly in sentences constructed on the spot.
