Delhi University B.EI.Ed. Paper C-1.4 Core Social Science Papers are designed to test the student’s fundamental understanding of the social sciences. Topics covered under the ambit of this course include the differences between primary and secondary sources of data, monarchy and its evolution, the changing notions of the state in the Indian context, the role and importance of the social sciences, the nature and understanding of what is meant by social change, the notion of sex and the constructed nature of gender in society, the role and differences between fascism and communalism in society and so on. Questions are generally of the long answer type and hence the student’s understanding must be conceptual so that he or she can frame a coherent and well-structured answer from his understanding. Delhi University B.EI.Ed. Paper C-1.4 Core Social Science Papers must thus be prepared for very carefully. This 2 hour paper is for 35 marks with questions 7 of section C being compulsory one. From both Section A and B, two questions are mandatory. Section A holds 18 marks (2*8), section B 12 marks (2*6) and section C 7 marks.
