Physical education is an exclusive part of the art papers of primary teaching courses. It has been included in the curriculum of primary teaching considering the growing poverty conditions of the country. Thus the focus of the subject is mainly on the physical health and the programs that have been adopted by the government at the national and international level regarding this. The sole motive of the programs is to bring poverty under control and thereby check ill health, malnutrition and occurrence of fatal diseases and poor health services. Diseases such as AIDS have become global issues and thus the training course is integrated in a way such that candidates are in a position to tackle these problems. The theoretical base of various forms of physical fitness besides the ways to address the psycho-social needs of children via health services are also covered in this subject as a part of primary teaching of the children.
