Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) is one of the best State Open University in India which is established by W.B. Act (XIX) of 1997 and recognized by U.G.C.At present it is functioning with 191 study centers and has six campuses.To complete a PG in Bengali one has to clear eight papers where the seventh paper is divided into four sub papers 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D. All the paper has different subjects. Paper 1 basically deals with Bengali literature of different time periods including the Rabindranath Tagore period.
