My son's date of birth is 12th March 2020, is he eligible for playschool or Nursery.

Playschool is for kids between the ages of Eighteen months to five years old.

To be admitted to the Nursery standard of the ICSE board, a student must be between the ages of 2 years 5 months to 3 years 5 months as of the 31st March of the applicable year, under ICSE board regulations.

So, your son is eligible for admission to nursery standard.

Age criteria for admission in Play School.

1. PRE-NURSERY. Minimum age should be 2 years and above as on March 31, 2023.

2. NURSERY. Minimum age should be 3 years and above as on March 31, 2023.

3. KG. Minimum age should be 4 years and above as on March 31, 2023.

Children between the ages of 18 months to 5 years old are eligible for playschool.

Therefore, your son is qualified for admission to Playschool.

The age criteria for admission in play school is 2 to 2.5 years.

Your kid will be preschool ready anywhere between 1.5 to 3 years of age. Anything under 1.5 years, and you will be starting them too early. Beyond 3 years, you might find yourselves wishing you had started earlier.
