My son's DOB is 3rd June 2011 and I want to know what is the age criteria for LKG in CBSE schools? Will it be create any problem in 10th standard if I put her in LKG now?

The age criteria required to take admission in LKG in CBSE Board school is 3 years 6 months as on 31st March of the year of examination. To be eligible to get admission in 1st standard, the minimum age required is 5 years 6 months as on 31st March of the year of examination. If you join your son in LKG at the age of 5 years 6 months, there will not be any problem for your son to appear in 10th standard board examinations.

According to the guidelines of CBSE, a student must have attained the minimum of 14 and must not exceed the maximum of 16 year at 31st of march while appearing for 10th standard.

Since your son was born on 3rd june 2011 and it means he has attained the age of almost 6 years. So, according to the above guideline get your child's admission.

My son DOB is 8.5.2008, is he eligible to apply for 6th std in CBSC school? Or not? Now he finished 5th std in matric school. Can you please guide me? Awaiting for the response, Thank u.
