Hi my son dob is 23rd march am planning to put him in nursery during jun he would be 2.3 yrs is it correct as play school age is 1.5 yrs to 2.5 yrs. hence thought nursery is best for him

The age requirement for joining nursery varies depending on the country, state, and school.

The minimum age for nursery is 2.5 years old, but some schools may accept children as young as 18 months or as old as 3.5 years old. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India recommends that the minimum age for nursery be 3 years old. This is because the NEP aims to ensure that all children have a foundation in learning before they enter Class 1.

According to the NEP, minimum admission age for kids is three years for nursery class, four years for LKG, and five years for UKG. This means, the child must go through a three-year-foundation before he or she enters Class-I at the age of six.
