Am I eligible to secure BTech admission in IIT with 73% in 12th being a ST student?
Hi everyone, I have scored 73% marks in my 12th Board exam. I want to join IIT for BTech program. I belong to ST category. So, am I eligible for the BTech admission over there? I have completed my 12th from Meghalaya Board.

Having completed your Class 12th with 73% marks from Meghalaya Board and belonging to ST category, you are certainly eligible for admission in IITs to pursue B.Tech degree course as for IIT admissions, the minimum marks required in Class 12th is 75% in case of General and OBC category candidates which in the case of SC/ST candidate is relaxed to 65%.
Further, for seeking admission in IIT to pursue B.Tech degree course, you are required to qualify both the stages of JEE i.e; JEE Main and JEE Advanced. For complete details regarding JEE, you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in. |
