Respected Sir/Madam, I have scored only 37% marks in my 10th Board exam of Jharkhand Board. I am very worried now. I live in Bokaro and I want to secure admission for Science stream in Higher Secondary. Kindly let me know that with this percentage of marks through which I can get Science or not?

It will depend on the reputation of the school where you want to get admission. Normally, at top schools, you need excellent marks in class 10th to get admission in the science stream. You have got 37% marks which will not be enough for top schools.

There are many schools where nobody wants to get admission and seats remain vacant every year. You can easily get admission at such school with 37% marks.

There are certain measures to having the subject after 10th .

1. The points is to have subject either in Govt school or private
school.

2. In Govt school , you have to gain atleast 50 % in 10th to
choose science stream.

3. If you are in private school, it is upto you that you can get
science stream either concerned verbally or financially with
the principal .

As you have secured very less percentage in your 10th it is not possible to opt for science stream with this percentage because for science stream the candidate must have percentage above 70.
Personally, I would like to suggest you to appear for improvement examination for your 10th because percentage in 10th matters a lot.

Generally, the percentage required to opt for science stream in most of the Government and private schools is above 75 percent.
