This is Raghuvamsi from Anantapur, Andhrapradesh. My brother is in 10th standard. He is interested to do Civil Services after 10th. Can he join directly coaching for strong foundation after 10th. Is there any coaching institute to make such foundation course after 10th?

No, you can prepare for Civil Service exam after completion of 12th standard.

Civil Services examination is considered as one of the toughest examination and conducted for recruitment of Officer's.

The minimum required qualification to appear for examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree.

But, if he interested in joining the coaching institute for preparation for examination he can as there is no eligibility to pursue in any coaching classes.

To get syllabus for preparation of examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

Your brother can prepare for Civil Services examination after 10th standard but this not the right time to join any good institute because he will lack basic concepts in order to understand concepts which will be taught in class.

So, it will be better for your brother to join any good institute like Vajiram and Ravi or ALS during bachelor's degree. Till then, he must prepare basic books like all NCERT books of social science subjects like Geography, History, Political science, Economics etc. Once he gets basic concepts, he will understand concepts that will be taught in class.

Preparation can start from anytime if you have long term aim for your future. Only after graduation you will be able to appear for civil services exam.

Coaching centers should be chosen on the basis of their previous record. Just visit the institute and have a look at the kind of study material and classroom they provide. Opt according to your own thinking.

Yes, you can prepare for Civil Service exam after completing 10th standard. You can also concentrate on your studies equally. Only graduation students are eligible to apply for Civil Service and age should be in between 21 years to 32 years.
