My student is in class 9 now and his date of birth is 27 December 2008 and he will give 10th board exam in CBSE in 2023 is this correct date of birth to give the tenth board exam of CBSE in 2023

As per the guidelines of the central board of secondary education (CBSE), The age limit to give the 10th board exam should be 14 to 15 years old as on 31st March of the respective year.

So, candidate is eligible for the 10th board exam.

The very first thing I would like to mention here is that CBSE does not has any criteria of minimum age for appearing in CBSE Class 10th board examination globally but it does follow the age criteria set by the concerned state board of education in which the School is located for the students of that state appearing in the CBSE board examinations which lies in the range of 14 years to 14 years and 6 Months by the time of board examination.

As, your student is currently studying in Class 9th, so he/she will appear in Class 10th board examination in 2024 not in 2023 and by March 2024 his/her age will be over 15 years as per the date of birth mentioned by you which means there will be no problem as far as the candidature of your student is concerned for appearing in the CBSE Class 10th board examination as far as his/her age is concerned.

The minimum age required for appearing in the Class 10th board examination in CBSC syllabus is 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which student is studying Class 10th.
