How to become an Indian Air Force Pilot being a 12th Science student?
I want to join Indian Air Force and become a Pilot. Right now I am studying in 12th standard with Science stream. But after completing my 12th, kindly let me know how I can join Indian Air Force and become a Pilot? Please help me to know about this asap. Thank you!

To become Pilot in Air Force in future you have to appear and qualify in NDA examination.
It is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. The examination is conducted in two stages : Written and SSB. Candidates have to clear both the stages of examination for final selection. Only male candidates who have passed 12th in PCM are eligible to appear in the examination. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. For more informatin visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

To become an Indian Air Force Pilot you have to apply NDA entrance exam.
NDA stands for National Defense Academy. This examination is conducted by UPSC every year. The eligibility criteria is Candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCM as a main paper from a recognized board. Candidate age must be 16.5 to 19.5 years. Candidate must be an Unmarried Indian male candidate. Final year candidate are also eligible. After completing your 12th you have to apply NDA entrance exam. Being a student of Class 12th with Science stream, to become a pilot (i.e; flying officer ) in Indian Air force, you are required to join NDA ( National Defense Academy ) by NDA entrance examination which is held by UPSC twice every year.
* The minimum eligibility criteria require for appearing in the same examination are as here under :- i) You must be an unmarried Indian citizen. ii) Your age must lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years. iii) You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board. For joining Indian Air force and Indian Navy, you must have pursued Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level. iv) You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms. There is no direct recruitment in Indian Air Force as pilot candidates after proper training will become eligible for final selection.
Now, you can appear in NDA examination. NDA examination is conducted in two stages. The eligibility to appear in examination is that candidate must have passed 12th or pursuing in 12th with PCM as main paper. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. You have to appear and qualify in NDA entrance examination. Candidates after qualifying in the examination will become eligible for the recruitment.
Examination is conducted in two stages and after the proper training you will become eligible for recruitment in Indian Air Force as pilot. Candidates can also get recruitment after bachelor degree through AFCAT and CDS entry. |

To become Pilot in Indian Air Force, you need to apply for National Defence Academy competitive exam.
There are certain criteria which must be fulfilled to apply for this exam: Science stream candidates with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics can apply for NDA entrance examination. Age criteria to apply for examination is 16.5 to 19.5 years. Only unmarried male Indian citizen can apply for this Defence entry examination. Two different stages of this examination: Written Test. Those who qualify written test will appear for Service Selection Board. |
