For calculating percentage , candidate is required to consider the marks of top 4 subjects and leave other subjects.

Add the marks of those subjects in which one has scored highest and add english marks also .
After adding the marks of 5 subjects divide them with 5 , in this way percentage is calculated.

Marks in English are taken + marks in best four other subjects /500×100.

PAPER BOARD MARKS PERCENTAGE = 0.7 A + 0.3 B.
PAPER BOARD MARKS = PAPER BOARD MARKS PERCENTAGE ×
WEIGHT-AGE FOR BOARD MARKS.
PAPER FINAL MARKS = PAPER BOARD MARKS + PAPER INTERNAL.
ASSESSMENT.

The candidates appearing for the ICSE or Class 10th board examination have to study 6 subjects, with one or three papers in each group. ICSE results are taken from best five of six subjects out of which English marks is compulsory. English is a compulsory subject whose marks are always considered. You have to consider the marks of the top 4 subjects and leave out the other 2 whose marks are low as compared to the remaining ones (top 4 subjects). Add the marks of those subjects and English, then divide it by 5. The answer will be your percentage.

All the six subjects have 100 marks over all out of which you will give 80 marks examination in 20 marks will be given by the school based on internal assessment and projects.
In science, your physics, chemistry and biology marks are added up and then divided by 3 to get science marks.
Same is done in social science in English and in these both subjects and added and divided by 2.
Then the best five subjects are selected which means that the subject with the least marks is not taken into consideration.
Then the marks of best 5 subjects are added then divided by 500 and then multiply by 100.

Most of the companies asked for aggregate percentage obtained in ICSE.
To calculate your aggregate percentage take summation of all the subjects divided by the no of subjects.
If the company does not mention for the aggregate then simply give your Best 5 subjects marks including first language and second language as your percentile.
