Hello Sir, I am studying in 11th Commerce. I am interested to join Indian Navy. I want to become a Navy Officer. Kindly inform me about the recruitment and tell me the procedure to become a Navy Officer?

If you are looking to apply for Indian Navy after class 12th then you have to study PCM stream in class 12th. There is no other way to join Indian Navy and if you are a commerce student then you can't apply for Indian Navy jobs after class 12th.

For commerce graduates, there is a Short Service Commission in Indian Navy and you can only apply for it after completing B.Com degree. Hence, at present, you can't apply for Indian Navy.

I am sorry to say that you cannot get admission in Navy without having completed your +2 grade with science background.

You should have scored a minimum of 60% in aggregate in your 12th board from a recognized university and then opt for Marine Engineering course to further achieve your goal.

Commerce students are not eligible for Indian Navy.
If you want to join Indian Navy you must have PCM subjects in your 12th standard.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. This examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly twice i.e. NDA 1, NDA II

Selection procedure:-
Written exam
Medical test
Personal interview.

Qualification:-
Candidate must have passed 12th with PCM subjects from a recognised Institution.
There is no percentage required for this examination.
Age limit is 16.5 to 19 years .
There is no age relaxation for this examination.
Nationality:-
Candidates must be a citizen of India.

Procedure to become a Navy Officer:-

If you passed 12th with the commerce then you will be only eligible for Indian Army. For Indian Navy you must have taken physics and maths in twelfth.
Age limit for NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 years
and only unmarried male candidate can apply for it.
You also must be an Indian citizen.

SSB
Medical examination

You can't apply for Indian Indian Navy if you have commerce stream in 12th. Only those with PCM stream can apply for jobs like NDA/NA, AA and SSR jobs in Indian Navy.

So, either you study the right stream or look for other options.

Commerce field candidates are eligible for the Indian navy. Logistics and accountants branch.
Graduate with 60% eligible to appear for Logistics branch it is from recognised University.
