I am studying in 8th class. Can I be eligible for NTSE exam?

For a candidate to be eligible to sit for the NTSE Exam, they must have completed 10th grade. The following applicants are not qualified. Additionally, the applicants must have received at least 60% on their ninth-grade exams. The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

A candidate must have finished the 10th grade in order to be qualified to take the NTSE Exam. So, you are not eligible for the exam. The candidates must additionally have scored at least 60% on their ninth-grade exams. Also,the candidate must be a citizen of India.

The candidate can be from any State/Union Territory of India. The candidates studying in open or distance learning are also eligible to apply for NTSE provided they are less than 18 years of age, not employed and are appearing for class X board examination for the first time.

Since, you are a student of class 8 so right now you are not eligible for NTSE 2022 exam. Once, you are done with your class X board you can easily apply after that.

Only Class 10th students are eligible to write NTSE Exam paper provided the student is studying in a School recognized by the government. The Student should be below 18 years of age. Previously employed students are not eligible to write NTSE paper. Open Distance Learning (ODL) Students are also eligible.

I had a similar situation and I was looking for an answer to your question, I also study in the 8th grade. But I think you already understood that the necessary condition is to finish 10 classes.

Earlier it was possible for an 8th grade student to appear for NTSE but as per the new rules 10th standard students are allowrd to appear for NTSE.

very sorry to say that you are not enough yet
