I am interested to appear in International Mathematical Olympiad. I am studying in 8th standard. However, I don’t know about the pattern of International Mathematical Olympiad. I would like to know about the pattern of this Olympiad.

Pattern of International Mathematical Olympiad:-

Objective type questions will be asked in the question paper of the entrance exam.

Applicants will get 60 minutes to solve the complete paper of the exam.

25 questions will be asked in the exam for those applicants who are studying in class 1st to 4th.

However, 50 questions will be asked for those applicants who are studying in class 5th to 12th

Pattern for the International Math Olympiad:

Total number of questions is equal to 50

Duration of test will be 60 minutes.

Number of sections will be three.

Number of questions in section 1 will be 20 of logical and analytical reasoning.

Number of questions in section 2 will be 20 from mathematical reasoning.

Number of questions in section 3 will be ten from everyday mathematics.

Pattern of International Mathematical Olympiad:-

Total number of questions - 50
Duration of test - 60 minutes
Number of sections - 3

Number of questions / section 1
20 - logical and analytical reasoning

Number of questions section 2
20 - mathematical reasoning

Number of question / section 3
10 - everyday mathematics.

Exam Pattern for International Mathematical Olympiad:---

For classes 1st to 4th

You have to answer 35 questions in 60 minutes.
There will be a separate question paper for each class.
Question paper will have these sections:
Section I – Logical Reasoning (10 questions)
Section II – Mathematical Reasoning (10 questions)
Section III – Everyday Mathematics (10 questions)
Section IV – Achievers Section (5 questions)

For classes 5th to 12th

The participant has to answer 50 questions in 60 minutes.
Question paper will have these sections:
Section I - Logical Reasoning (15 questions)
Section II - Mathematical Reasoning (20 questions)
Section III - Everyday Mathematics (10 questions)
Section IV - Achievers Section (5 questions)
