Re: Procedure to appear in online Mathematical Olympiads? Suitable books for preparation?
Basically it is the school's responsibility to distribute the forms for Olympiads among the best students or the one's willing to appear for it.
You can get the application form from the school itself. However if your school is not showing any interest or you want to participate in Olympiad online. Then below mentioned is the site from where you can apply for Olympiad examination. http://http://seatso.org/ SEATSO is the organiser of various levels of Olympiads from classes I-XII. http://http://seatso.org/nmo_ncse.php Whereas, NCSE is better suitable for students of classes between II-VII. Reference books for Maths Olympiad: 1. Problem Primer for the Olympiads by: C.R. Pranesachar, B.J. Venkatachala and C.S. Yogananda publisher: Prism Books pvt ltd 2. Challenge and Thrill of Pre-College mathematics by: V. Krishnamurthy, C.R. Pranesachar, K.N. Ranganathan and B.J. Venkatachala publisher: New Age International Publishers 3. An Excursion in Mathematics by: M. R. Modak, S.A. Katre and V.V. Acharya publisher: Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana 4. Problem Solving Strategies by: Arthur Engel 5. Functional Equations by: B.J.
