A student has secured more than 40 percent in class eleven in English and other three subjects and in agreegate of final exam ,but failed to secure that in half yearly exam.He study in ISC board. Can he be promoted to class twelve?

The promotion criteria in class 11th of ISC examination are a candidate must have obtained at least 40% marks in four subjects including English on the cumulative average with a minimum attendance of 75% of the working days. No other criteria will be used for promotion from class 11th to class 12th.

Yes, Student will be promoted to 12th class, The class 11th exams are basically conducted by the school and it doesn't matter if you are not able to get pass mark in any of your periodic tests. The only thing that matters is to pass with atleast 40% individually in all subjects in the annual examination.
