Recruitment of teachers in Higher Secondary school is carried out on the basis of common entrance exam, called Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET).
A pass in higher secondary examination with 50 % marks along with Diploma in Elementary Education is the minimum eligibility for this exam. The exam is conducted separately for Primary stage and Elementary Stage Eligibility for CTET: Graduation with a minimum of 50 % marks is the minimum eligibility criterion. Final year of candidates of the two year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Bachelor in Education are eligible to appear for the exam. Graduates with a minimum of 45 % marks in aggregate along with bachelor’s degree in education are also eligible. Candidates who have passed higher secondary examination with 50 % marks along with four year Bachelor in Elementary Education are also eligible. |

Re: Qualification required for Higher Secondary School Teacher post?
Here is the basic requirements for becoming a Higher secondary school teacher :
Eligibility : ** You must have Bachelor's Degree in Education or Teaching Certification ** For job in the government schools you must need "Secondary or high school certification" Generally private schools don't require demand for this ** Passion and a dynamic approach to the subject matter ** Ability to retain names and flexible teaching approaches specified to each student's needs ** Coaching and development techniques ** High level of organization ** Good communication skills. So my suggestion to you is that now you should go for the Bachelor of education. Best colleges for the same : ** Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies ** Beri Institute of Technology ** Bhagwan Mahabir Jain Girls College of Education ** Sri. Krishna College of education ** R. R. B.ed College ** Manjula mallesh College of education ** K.l.e. Societys college of education |

Hello,
Mainly to become a teacher of higher secondary school you must have Bachelor's degree and in some conditions Mater's degree is required. In government schools B.Ed or Phd degree may also required. After completing your graduation you can do M.Sc to get the job easily. best of luck. |

No, you are not eligible for recruitment as school teacher in higher secondary in government schools . The minimum required qualification to become teacher is candidate must have passed master degree and have B.Ed qualification.
So, diploma degree is not sufficient to appear in CTET or STET examination. For more details about CTET examination visit at www.CTET.nic.in. |
